The fall opera season opens with Rossini’s quintessential Italian comedy, which boasts some of the opera’s most recognizable music. The clever and amusing love story, written in 1816, follows Count Almaviva as he vies for the hand of the lovely young Rosina with the help of a local barber named Figaro.
